Patricia Waldkirch

Patricia Elizabeth Waldkirch, 84, from McKinleyville, left the physical world on September 20, 2020 to be with her husband, Larry Waldkirch, and her Lord in Heaven.

Pat was born in Eureka on June 27, 1936 to Fred Dal Porto and Iris Johnson Dal Porto. She attended school in Arcata, graduating from Arcata High. Pat and Larry were high school sweethearts. They were married for 54 years and raised three children in McKinleyville.

Pat created a special bond with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known as their prayer warrior, Pat’s family gathered comfort and strength from her prayers. She made wonderful Italian family meals, grew beautiful roses, and especially loved spending the holidays with family. She created special memories with each family member, and all the children in her family knew they were important to her. They were her world.

Pat is survived by her children: Lori Waldkirch (Robbie Smythe), Larry Waldkirch (Sandi Waldkirch), Leanne Waldkirch Wallace  (Nels Anderson); grandchildren: Emily Dishman, Jake Trull, Meagon Waldkirch, Shawna Waldkirch, Lauren Waldkirch, Nicole Wallace Wade (Brian Wade), Michael Wallace (Amy Wallace), Rhett Wallace (Katie Wallace), Jaci Wallace, Cameron Anderson, Corey Borghino (Brian Borghino); great grandchildren: Timothy & Luci Dishman, Jonathan, Mathew, & Rebekah Trull, Sadie Garcia, Taylor and Ty Wade, Jed, Piper, and RJ Wallace, Breann & Tanna Borghino.; and was looking forward to meeting her first great-great-grandchild this coming December. 

A memorial service will be held at Paul’s Chapel in Arcata at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020. A celebration of life to follow at Pat’s home at 3 p.m.
