Dorothy Sullivan

DOROTHY HUDSON SULLIVAN Dorothy Hudson Sullivan, 85, of Eureka, CA passed away at her home on July 24, 2018. She was born Oct. 31, 1932 in Greensboro, NC to the late Ruth Bean Hudson and was the step daughter of the late Jim Hudson. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Clyde Sullivan. She leaves behind 7 children; Shirley Lisa (Eddie) Alexander of Greensboro, NC, Debbie Shoemaker of Burney,CA, Clyde Jr. (Leilani) Sullivan of Turner, OR, Don (Mellie) West, Donna (Jim) Blount, Ron Sullivan and Robert Sullivan all of Eureka, CA. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren. (Kevin, Tara, Davina, Amanda, Jared, Brandon, Brett, Erica, Matthew and David.) She was blessed with 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Dorothy was a homemaker all of her life. Dorothy loved stock car racing, reading books, stuffed animals and her family. Her companions were two sweet dogs, Loki and Lilly Bell. Dorothy had been in declining health the past 3 years and was cared for by her son Robert Sullivan who lived with her. The family wants to thank Kaia Flanagan and hospice for the care they gave our mother. A gravesite service will be held August 1, 2018 at 1 o'clock at Ocean View Cemetery, Eureka, CA.
